February 26, 2010, Newsletter Issue #114: Kid's Room Style Tips for Toddlers

Tip of the Week

When your baby grows out of the crib, it's time to redecorate your kid's room. Always design a kid's room with the age of the child in mind. For toddlers, try to select materials that are stain-resistant for carpeting and even wall paint. Add some soft, plush rugs for floor playtime. Also keep shelving low in some areas to teach children to put away their own toys.

Other kid's room ideas for toddlers include rounded edges on furniture for unsteady walking, multi-purpose storage pieces that will stay useful as your child grows up, and a flexible color scheme that you can transform with accessories rather than replacing the entire room.
