April 16, 2010, Newsletter Issue #121: Kid’s Room Style Tips for Younger Kids

Tip of the Week

For school-aged children, their bedrooms are their safe havens. A kid’s room is an expression of his or her personality, and a grade schooler should be able to help you choose some of the décor. So before decorating your kid’s room, ask his or her opinion on colors, themes, and even storage.

This is the time to add a desk to the room and think about kid’s room furniture that will last for several years. Look for durable and versatile pieces that will work with new color schemes as your child grows up.

Also consider painting the kid’s room a new fun color. This will add a whole new dimension to the room that your growing child will find personal and exciting. Remember, it’s cheaper to replace paint color than it is to replace a bedroom suit.
