September 21, 2007, Newsletter Issue #81: Acessories and Kid's Room Décor

Tip of the Week

While it might be tempting to create a child's room that looks like a room from a show house or a designer catalog, it's worth remembering that even the most expensive and well-coordinated room will fall flat if it seems impersonal.

That's where accessories come in: your child's artwork, trophies and mementoes are great décor elements, as are family photos and even worn-out stuffed animals that bring back happy memories. Incorporating kids' room accessories that express who the child is who lives there will make even the barest room come alive as someplace special, so keep an eye out for ways to use things that are uniquely your kid's.
